The filmmakers of all the independent films, features or shorts, screened at OM Film Fest will receive 50% of the box office sales. OM Film Fest is working hard to change the independent film industry from a charitable contribution base, to a ROI (return on investment) base.
Submit your film short to OM Film Fest through FilmFreeway using the link above. Be sure to select the submission category, “Kansas City Metro Filmmaker Short Films.” The submission fee is $25. The film short will be reviewed by the OM Film Fest staff, and if found inappropriate (containing material that is sexually explicit or hate speech to incite violence), it will not be accepted for screening, and OM Film Fest will return your submission fee.
Sell a minimum of 10 $10 tickets for the OM Film Fest Short Film Showcase (which includes your film) to your friends and family. The ticket price will include all the short films in the showcase.
Once you sell 10 tickets, your film will be screened at the OM Film Fest Short Film Showcase, currently scheduled for monthly screenings at Standees Theaters at Prairie Village, (3935 W 69th Terrace, Prairie Village, KS 66208) and you will receive a minimum of $50 (50% of the box office sales for your film).
Continue to sell tickets to your film’s screening to get as many people as you can to come see your work of art, along with the short films of other local filmmakers, and receive 50% of all the ticket sales you make. For example, sell 100 tickets to your family, friends, classmates, etc., and receive $500 for screening your film. It’s that simple.
